Vietnam is advancing plans for the $3.4B Thu Thiem–Long Thanh railway, a 42-km line connecting Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat Airport with the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport. Designed for 120 km/h speeds and 20 stops, the project will ease highway congestion and integrate with metro lines. With Long Thanh’s first phase opening next year, the rail link is crucial to strengthen airport access and support Southern Vietnam’s growing air travel demand.
