Hitachi Rail will modernize a vital 200-km stretch of the Hamburg–Berlin high-speed corridor with digital control-command and signaling systems. The project includes new interlockings, track upgrades, and enhanced train control (LZB) for speeds up to 230 km/h. Backed by DB InfraGO and aligned with EU TEN-T goals, this upgrade aims to boost safety, efficiency, and sustainability, with completion expected by spring 2026.
