Karnataka Minister M.B. Patil has urged the Centre to upgrade Hubballi and Belagavi airports to international standards, citing rising passenger traffic. In a meeting with airline officials, he also emphasized boosting air connectivity across underutilized airports like Kalaburagi, Mysuru, Bidar, and Jindal Township. Airlines were encouraged to explore new routes, with the state offering incentives like waived parking fees. Vijayapura Airport is also set to launch pending environmental clearance.
