American Airlines launched its first Chicago O’Hare–Madrid direct flight, expanding its European network. Operated daily on a Boeing 787-8, this marks American’s eighth European route from O’Hare. Madrid, now its second-largest European destination, strengthens its Iberia partnership. With one million+ seats to Madrid in 2025, American surpasses all European airports except Heathrow in capacity.
