India\u2019s high-speed rail ambitions are set to expand with the announcement of a proposed Delhi\u2013Siliguri bullet train corridor. The route will connect Delhi with Siliguri via Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna, reducing travel time from nearly 20 hours to around six hours. The project is expected to strengthen connectivity between northern and eastern India while improving access to the Northeast gateway.
