Railway Board chief Satish Kumar announced that an estimated one crore devotees are expected to travel by train for the 2028 Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Ujjain. To manage the surge, 100 special trains will be operated. Ujjain and nearby stations\u2014Indore, Mhow, and Laxmibai Nagar\u2014are undergoing major upgrades, including 22 new railway lines.
